From as far back as I can remember, during most road trips my dad was always stopping by little Jerky huts in the middle of nowhere to try out local Jerky. He would find the ones he liked and he’d get the biggest bag he could. He would do the same at Car or Boat shows, or any expo he’d go to. I would typically be right there with him picking out my favorite flavors. As a result of growing up like that, I developed my own love of Jerky and made it a must have for most road trips or outdoor excursions. I did what my dad showed me and I tried many different brands of Jerky whenever possible. While camping in Big Bear, I learned of a local company that had some great quality product. I got some and I was hooked. I purchased some every time I was in town. When I moved into Crestline back in 2017, I inquired about being a distributor for the company and the idea was born, I wanted my own brand of jerky based right here in Crestline. I mainly setup little booths on Lake drive but I also did some local events and had a few local stores that carried the Jerky I was representing. After a couple of years, some of the stores closed and I was left without an avenue to continue to sell the products, so I took a break. After a few years, I now had a great team that encouraged me to start backup and we did. Sadly the company I sold for, was going under and sold off their recipes and product line. But now that gave me opportunity to do what I have wanted for years, and develop my own brand of Jerky. Crestline Jerky Co. was truly brought to life. With support from our small town the company has been doing well. We now have our own little shop in the heart of Crestline, where we provide more than just the best Jerky and snacks around but we also support local artists and niche vendors by carrying their products in our store. We are so happy to have our roots here in this wonderful town and we are very excited to see what the future holds for us, here at Crestline Jerky Co.
